synopsis

1972. A broke but charismatic Vietnam vet enters an unusual bargain with a failing heroin rehab—free housing for free labor—to renovate a crumbling resort and care for his autistic sister. As debt mounts and buried secrets surface, the line between rehabilitation and exploitation erodes, forcing Ron to bankroll one of America’s premier rehab centers by smuggling heroin from Vietnam.
